The CDP Supplier Engagement Rating is determined through responses from companies engaged in corporate initiatives against climate change throughout their value chain in the four areas of "supplier engagement," "governance," "Scope 3 emissions" and "targets," as well as their overall CDP Climate Change Program score.

In the 2023 assessment, 458 companies (including 109 Japanese companies) were listed on the Supplier Engagement Leaderboard as recognition of their particularly excellent initiatives. ESG Finance Awards Japan

ESG Finance Awards Japan

Selected as "Environmentally Sustainable Company" and “Progressive Company in Environmental Disclosure”

ESG Finance Awards Japan is an award program established by the Ministry of the Environment in 2019 to promote and expand ESG finance. The aim of the program is to evaluate and honor financial institutions and organizations actively engaged in ESG finance, as well as companies actively engaged in environmental sustainability management, and to share the details of their activities with many stakeholders.

The awards in the Environmentally Sustainable Company Category provide investors and companies with specific examples of "environmentally sustainable companies" that incorporate important environmental opportunities and risks into their management strategies, thereby improving their corporate value and creating positive environmental benefits. The award recipients are evaluated and selected based on the level of disclosure of "risks, opportunities, and strategies," "KPIs," and "governance" related to important environmental issues, taking into consideration the characteristics of each industry sector.

In addition, starting this year, companies with a high degree of improvement in disclosure and expectation for further development are selected as “Progressive Companies in Environmental Disclosure” from among the companies applying for the awards on an ongoing basis.

In the fifth ESG Finance Awards Japan, DHR was selected as an "Environmentally Sustainable Company" for meeting certain standards in terms of level of disclosure among the 44 companies selected by the Ministry of the Environment. Furthermore, DHR became the first J-REIT selected as a “Progressive Company in Environmental Disclosure” for a high degree of improvement in disclosure and expectation for further development. 19 companies were selected as “Progressive Companies in Environmental Disclosure” by the Ministry of the Environment.

ARES ESG Award

ARES ESG Award

Awarded the "Best Recommendation Award (Governance Category)"

ARES ESG Award is an award program established by ARES to promote ESG initiatives of J-REITs in response to growing interest in ESG in recent years. The aim of the program is to enhance the ESG initiatives of J-REITs and improve their investor recognition, by awarding the unique initiatives to share them widely within and outside the industry, rather than ranking each J-REIT as in the existing external rating and certification systems. There are Good Action Award (self recommendation) and Best Recommendation Award (recommendation by other J-REITs) for review, and awards are given in Environmental, Social, and Governance Categories for each award.

In the ARES ESG Award 2023, DHR was awarded the Best Recommendation Award in Governance Category, since our introduction of sustainability index-linked asset management fees was regarded as an effective initiative to expand and universalize ESG investment through the investment chain.
